Citizens of some countries quaintly insist on defending their rights

It’s all Greek to me. Cheese-eating surrender monkeys.

While citizens in some enormous North American countries sit resigned to the predations of their governments and giant vampire squids, workers in Greece and France have been taking to the streets in numbers to protest similar assaults from their own sociopaths in government and finance. Unions and students in France are maintaining a reasonable degree of solidarity and possibly boosting the prospects of returning a Socialist government to power. In Greece, unions are less cohesive and it is a socialist government pressing the austerity measures demanded by the International Monetary Fund and the European Union at the expense of the working class, small businesses and pensioners who are expected to finance the social security of the pirates who perpetrated the most recent global financial fraud.

The United States: Standing somewhat slumped against corruption

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand, we’re off!

Good news, for a change: The United States is less corrupt than Chile, barely, and France, also barely but nevertheless great news for Walter Ney and Bob Jones (not that Bob Jones). Gloomy old Denmark is the least corrupt of all, having learned its collective lesson from Polonius. US victims Iraq and Afghanistan rank 175 and 176 respectively; Afghanistan is tied with Myanmar for second to last with Somalia anchoring the list at 178.
